The MOT certificate confirms, at the time the test was carried out, that the vehicle at least meets the minimum road safety and environmental standards that are required by law.

The purpose of an MOT test is to ensure your vehicle meets all the required safety and environmental standards on the road. For personal vehicles, the first MOT test is required after 3 years of use.

The MOT certificate confirms, at the time the test was carried out, that the vehicle at least meets the minimum road safety and environmental standards that are required by law.
Please note: the certification does not mean the vehicle will be roadworthy for the duration the certificate is valid. The MOT is also no guarantee for the overall mechanical condition of the vehicle and does not cover the condition of the engine, clutch or gearbox.
